We should know by this date whether or not the statewide library catalog service (Find Books, DVDs and more in CT Libraries) will be funded to continue after September 1, 2011. If the state employee unions approve the latest proposed contract, then funding for this service will continue, and we will likely also be able to restore CINAHL Full Text (for academic libraries) and ProQuest National Newspapers (Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post) for all libraries. If they do not approve the contract, then these resources will not be restored and the statewide library catalog service will be discontinued, possibly as early as September 1, 2011.
